Touring around Joetsu area to feel the historic and artistic atmosphere
We start from Joetsu Myoko Station and go to Gango Beach in the town of Oogata where you can find a mermaid folktale monument. You will also be visiting the site of Takada Castle where Lord Tadateru had resided, Mimei Ogawa Literature Museum in Takada Library, and Takada Sekai-kan, the oldest movie theater in Japan.
