Touring around the site of Takada-jo, the castle of Matsudaira Tadateru, and Iwanohara Vineyard
In this tour, you will be walking around Takada Park, which is the site of the castle where Matsudaira Tadateru, the sixth son of Tokugawa Ieyasu, had resided. After that, you will be visiting Iwanohara Vineyard, which was started by Kawakami Zenbei, the father of Japanese wine grapes.
At Takada Park, you will be stopping by at the three-story tower (called sanju-yagura) and at the old residence of Kobayashi Kokei, a famous Japanese-style painter who flourished in the Taisho Period and in early Showa Period.
At Iwanohara Vineyard, you can enjoy looking around the 125 year old wine cellar, sampling some wine, and buying some wine for souvenir.

*Depending on the sightseeing location, there is a place (facility) closed for the winter season (tourist impossible). Also, sightseeing may not be available depending on time and day of the week. Please check with the IM taxi in advance.
