Touring from Sea of Japan to Mt. Kasugayama
This is a tour to Hunami Park in Naoetsu area where you can enjoy the view of Sea of Japan and to Mt. Kasugayama.
We start from Hunami Park where you can find a statue of mermaid designed from “The mermaid and the red candles”, a fairy tale written by a famous author Ogawa Mimei. There is also a stone monument engraved with a haiku of Yosano Akiko, a famous Japanese poet and author. There is a shrine nearby called Kotohira Shrine where you can find a pagoda built for the memorial of Anjuhime and Zushioumaru, the two main characters of a novel called “Sansho-dayu (Sansho the Bailiff)” written by a Japanese famous author Mori Ougai.
On the way back to the station, we will drive around Mt. Kasugayama to visit places known to be related to Uesugi Kenshin.

*Depending on the sightseeing location, there is a place (facility) closed for the winter season (tourist impossible). Also, sightseeing may not be available depending on time and day of the week. Please check with the IM taxi in advance.
